Jeremiah Russell (January 26, 1786 - September 30, 1867) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Saugerties, New York, Russell received limited schooling. He engaged in mercantile pursuits, the real estate business, and banking. He served several times as supervisor, and served as a member of the State assembly in 1842.

Russell was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-eighth Congress (March 4, 1843-March 3, 1845). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1844 to the Twenty-ninth Congress, and afterwards resumed banking.

Russell died in Saugerties, New York, September 30, 1867, and was interred in Mountain View Cemetery.
